Privacy

The only personal details this site asks for are the ones you type into the request form. Everything else on it is public data.

How request details are handled

What the form collects
Your name, title, organization, email and region. A talk request also asks for the event name and date. A hidden field and the time the page was open are used only to turn away automated spam.
Who receives it
Adam Mosley, at a Gmail inbox. No other person receives it.
How it is used
Only to reply to your request. Your details are never sold or shared.
How long it is kept
Each request is also written to a log on the web server, outside the public site. Log entries are kept for 24 months, then deleted. To limit repeated posts, the server also keeps a counter for each visitor, labelled with a keyed hash of the IP address rather than the address itself, for one hour. The email copy stays in Adam's inbox as correspondence.

What a visit sends

Tracking
None. The site runs no tracking, no analytics and no advertising scripts, and it sets no cookies.
Fonts
The typefaces (Spectral, IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono) load from Google Fonts. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page opens. That request is the only one this site makes to another company.
Server logs
The web host keeps standard access logs (IP address, page and time) to run and secure the server. The site does not use them to follow visitors.
Data files
The figures, tables and maps are built from public sources listed on the method page and hold no information about visitors.
